Following a plane crash in the Himalayas, survivors of a college football team try hard to get in touch with local authorities to be rescued.
Two rangers will set off for the glacier where the plane crashed, but in the meantime, the survivors will discover that two ferocious yetis are lurking in the snows, eager to make them understand that they will have to guard against more than just the danger of freezing...
Paul Ziller directs this TV movie released for the U.S. Sci-fi channel (a channel with programming entirely focused on mystery, paranormal, and horror) with a cast in which stands out (and this hints at the fame of the other actors) Italian-Canadian Carly Pope (formerly starring in such poorly received TV series as Popular).
Yeti is the classic survival horror, in which the protagonists are on perpetual escape from the "evil monster" on duty, in this case, a candid (because of the color of the furs) and aggressive Yeti duo.
Little, too little to make this film a milestone in the genre (perhaps it is more apt to say tombstone), the fault, above all (in addition to the empty and not at all innovative ideas), of errors that are frankly too obvious not to be noticed (above all, the scene of an avalanche that is none other than a "real" avalanche "borrowed" from a CNN film).
The film shows something good mainly because of the presence of a few splatter scenes, but it is little, too little to save the film.
Avoidable, the genre definitely offers better, but if you want to hurt yourself, you only have to watch (to believe).
