Finished the filming of Wrong Turn, the seventh installment of the horror saga. It was announced by director Mike P. Nelson himself on his Instagram profile where he also posted the first image of the film.
The screenplay of Wrong Turn is by Alan B. McElroy, the author of the script of the original film (Wrong Turn - The forest is hungry).
It is currently unclear whether the new Wrong Turn Either a reboot or a remake.
Plot: A group of friends decide to hike the Appalachian Trail. Here they will make the unpleasant acquaintance of the "Foundation," a community of people who have lived in the mountains since the Civil War and do not like the presence of outsiders.

The saga Wrong Turn was started in 2003 by Rob Schmidt with Wrong Turn - The forest is hungry. After the two sequels Wrong Turn 2 - No Way Out (2007) and Wrong Turn 3 - Deadly Turn (2009), three prequels were made viz. Wrong Turn 4 - The Mountain of Fools (2011), Wrong Turn 5 - Bloodbath (2012) e Wrong Turn 6: Last Resort (2014).
