After the success of The invisible man (2020), Universal è pronta a dare nuova linfa all'"uomo lupo", un altro dei suoi mostri classici che, secondo quanto riportato da Variety, in the new Wolfman will have the face of celebrated Canadian actor Ryan Gosling (Drive, Only God Forgives, Blade Runner 2049).
Wolfman will be a modern remake of the classic The wolf man (The Wolf Man - 1941), film diretto da George Waggner e interpretato da Lon Chaney Jr. La sceneggiatura sarà a firma di Lauren Schuker Blum e Rebecca Angelo su un soggetto dello stesso Ryan Gosling. Fra i possibili registi a cui potrebbe essere affidato il progetto c'è Cory Finley, autore di Blood friends and Bad Education.
