Broad Green Pictures has released the new trailer for Wish Upon (USA – 2017), l'horror diretto da John R. Leonetti, il regista di Annabelle.
Produced by Sherryl Clark (Cloverfield), Wish Upon will debut in U.S. theaters starting July 14, 2017. Giving the face of the young protagonist of the story is Joey King (The Conjuring) who here will play Clare Shannon, a bullied girl.
Plot: Seventeen-year-old Clare Shannon (Joey King) struggles to cope with the loss of her mother, who died by suicide many years earlier. Shy and introverted, the girl lives with an obsessive father, is unrequited in love and is bullied. An old music box given to her by her parent will radically change her life. In fact, according to an inscription engraved on the box, it would be able to fulfill seven wishes of its owner. Bewitched by the charm of the mysterious object, Clare will begin to make wishes heedless of the terrible consequences.
The screenplay of Wish Upon Is by Barbara Marshall (Viral). The cast includes: Joey King, Ryan Phillippe, Ki Hong Lee, Mitchell Slaggert, Shannon Purser, Sydney Park, Kevin Hanchard, and Sherilyn Fenn.
John R. Leonetti is also the director of photography on Dead Silence, Insidious, The Conjuring and Beyond the Twilight Zone - Insidious 2.
