With IFC Films comes online the teaser trailer of When Evil Lurks, the new horror film written and directed by Demián Rugna, the director of Terrified (aka Aterrados, Terrified).
The film will have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on September 16 before debuting in U.S. theaters on October 6 with IFC Films and arriving on Shudder on the 27th.
Trama: quando i fratelli Pedro (Ezequiel Rodríguez) e Jimmy (Demián Salomon) scoprono che la donna della fattoria vicina è posseduta da un'entità maligna e che la sua stessa vicinanza ha avvelenato il bestiame locale, tentano di sfrattare la vittima dalla loro terra. Non riuscendo a eseguire i corretti riti di esorcismo, le loro azioni sconsiderate innescheranno inavvertitamente un'epidemia di possessioni nella comunità rurale. Ora i due fratelli dovranno sfuggire a un male invasivo che corrompe e mutila tutti coloro con cui viene in contatto, diventando inarrestabile.
