A few days after the release of the official trailer, some teaser posters of What the Waters Left Behind (aka Los Olvidados), the new horror film by Argentine brothers Luciano and Nicolás Onetti. After paying homage to the mystery genre with Deep sleep and Francesca, the Onects make a new film by setting the story in Epecuén, an abandoned Argentine city, and also partly inspired by the cult Don't open that door by Tobe Hooper.

Epecuén was once an important tourist village (located near a lake) but in 1985 it was submerged due to a rare sessa event. Thirty years later, the waters have receded revealing a devastated landscape. Four young men from Argentina decide to reach it to shoot a documentary but, once on site, they realize too late that they are not alone. In fact, among those ruins lives a group of deranged people who do not seem to appreciate the presence of intruders.

In the cast of What the Waters Left Behind we find: Victoria Maurette, Victorio D'Alessandro, Mirta Busnelli, Pablo Guisa Koestinger, Chucho Fernandez, Gustavo Garzon, Agustin Pardella, Damian Dreizik, Paula Brasca, Paula Sartor, and Tamara Garzon.
