Online the official Italian poster revealing the release date of Wednesday (aka Wednesday), the TV series dedicated to Wednesday, the daughter of Morticia and Gomez Addams, played here by Jenna Ortega, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzmán, respectively.
Created by Tim Burton (Edward Scissorhands, Batman - The Return, Corpse Bride) and Miles Millar (Smallville), the series will arrive on Netflix on November 23.
The series is a mystery with investigative and supernatural overtones that reimagines the famous Addams family in a different key, focusing, in particular, on their teenage daughter Wednesday (Jenna Ortega), a student at Nevermore Academy, a prestigious school for "outcasts." Here the young Addams will have to learn to master her paranormal powers to shed light on the antecedents that affected her family 25 years ago and to foil a series of murders affecting the small town where she lives.
Tim Burton is involved in the project as executive producer (along with Alfred Gough and Miles Millar) and as director, directing four of the eight episodes of the first season.
Miles Millar stated "The ambition is to make an eight-hour long Tim Burton film".
