Netflix has released the first trailer for Wednesday (aka Wednesday), the TV series dedicated to Wednesday, the daughter of Morticia and Gomez Addams.
Created by Tim Burton (Edward Scissorhands, Batman Returns, Corpse Bride) and Miles Millar (Smallville), Wednesday will arrive on Netflix this fall and stars Jenna Ortega, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, and Isaac Ordonez as Wednesday, Morticia, Gomez, and Pugsley, respectively.
Tim Burton is involved in the project as executive producer (along with Alfred Gough and Miles Millar) and as director, directing four of the eight episodes of the first season.
Miles Millar stated "The ambition is to make an eight-hour long Tim Burton film".
The series revisits the famous Addams family in a different light, focusing in particular on the teenage daughter Wednesday.
Plot: Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) is a student at Nevermore Academy, a prestigious school for “outcasts.” Here, the young Addams must learn to master her psychic powers to shed light on the events that affected her family 25 years ago and to foil a series of murders affecting the town where she lives.
