Saban Films has shared the official trailer for WarHunt, the supernatural horror film about Nazis during World War II and starring Mickey Rourke (Angel Heart - Elevator to Hell, The Wrestler).
WarHunt is directed by Italian director Mauro Borrelli (The Ghostmaker, The Recall - The Invasion) and will arrive in U.S. theaters and on streaming platforms on January 21.
The film was rated Rated R for "violent content, language and some sexual references."
Plot: 1945. A U.S. cargo plane loses control and crashes behind German enemy lines in the middle of the Black Forest. The ruthless Major Johnson (Mickey Rourke) immediately sends a team of his bravest soldiers on a rescue mission to recover the top-secret material the craft was carrying. Led by Sergeant Brewer (Robert Knepper) and Walsh (Jackson Rathbone), the soldiers venture deep into the forest and, after finding bodies of hanged Nazis, are attacked by a powerful supernatural force that will force them to fight for survival.
In the cast of WarHunt, in addition to Mickey Rourke, also include Jackson Rathbone (The Twilight Saga), Robert Knepper (Ultimatum to Earth), Josh Burdett, Fredrik Wagner, Alex Mills, Lou Stassen, Matt Mella, Ben McKeown, Christopher Hunte, and Timo Willman.
The screenplay is by Reggie Keyohara III and Mauro Borrelli.
