Last Exit Entertainment has announced the home video release of Visions of Suffering, the 2006 horror film directed by Andrey Iskanov, a Russian director known for his extreme horror cinema laced with eroticism, gore and surrealism (Nails, Philosophy of a Knife, Ingression, "Tochka" in The Profane Exhibit).
Distributed by Last Exit Entertainment, the Director's Cut (500 copies only) with 2 discs (DVD + CD) special limited edition of Visions of Suffering will be available starting October 3, 2018.
Andrey Iskanov has reshot over 60% of the original film with new footage, actors, and music, striving to create an even more unhealthy, visionary, and nightmarish atmosphere. In fact, the director himself calls this version "scarier, darker and more disturbing" than the original.
The plot is as follows: Sasha is obsessed with death and everything related to it including necrophilia and putrefaction. In an otherworldly forest he will disturb a demonic shaman who will tear down the line separating our world from the demon realm.
Andrey Iskanov was responsible for the film's screenplay but also for the production, sound design, cinematography and special effects.
On the occasion of the release announcement, Last Exit Entertainment also released the new trailer of The Suffering Visions:
