Red band trailer and new poster available on the net for V/H/S: Viral, the new horror anthology consisting of several short films in found footage style. V/H/S: Viral Two more chapters follow, V/H/S and V/H/S/2, made in 2012 and 2013, respectively.
Involved in this new project are Nacho Vigalondo (Timecrimes, The ABCs of Death - segment “A Is for Apocalypse“), Todd Lincoln (The Apparition), Marcel Sarmiento (Deadgirl, The ABCs of Death - segment “D Is for Dogfight“), Gregg Bishop (Dance of the Dead) and the directors of Resolution, Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead.
The film will be released limited theatrically on Nov. 21, while the U.S. release date for video on demand is set for Oct. 23.
The titles of the episodes that make up V/H/S: Viral Are as follows: Vicious Circles (the episode that connects the stories) by Marcel Sarmiento, Dante the Great by Gregg Bishop, Parallel Monsters By Nacho Vigalondo, Gorgeous Vortex by Todd Lincoln and Bonestor By Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead.
A brief synopsis on the individual episodes:
The episode frame (Vicious Circles) sees an ice cream cart sow death on the streets of Los Angeles attracting onlookers who waste no time in documenting everything with their cameras. We move on to the second episode, Dante the Great, in which a magician's life changes when the man comes into possession of a cloak that apparently belonged to Houdini; the third episode, Parallel Monsters, features a scientist who builds a machine that enables him to reach a parallel world; in Bonestorm Instead, a group of friends film themselves in the act of carrying out dangerous pranks.
The list is missing the Todd Lincoln episode, Gorgeous Vortex, cut off for unknown reasons.
The generic cast of V/H/S: Viral consists of Patrick Lawrie, Emmy Argo, Heather Hayes, Jessica Luza, John Curran, Justin Welborn, Mary Ralston, Michael Aaron Milligan, Gustavo Salmerón, Marian Álvarez, Xavi Daura, Esteban Navarro, Nick Blanco, Chase Newton, and Shane Bradey.
