varioushorrorvisionsDiàbolo Edizioni, a young publishing house specializing in auteur comics, is betting on horror by paying homage to it and presenting Various Horror Visions - Stories of Everyday Terror, a collection of horror stories immersed in the everyday life of Spaniard Santipérez. This is material that has already appeared in various specialty magazines, but here put together in a wonderful edition with a hardcover depicting a zombie and with 64 pages in color and also in black and white.

After winning an award from the Spanish edition of Creepy magazine, Santipérez became its contributor during the 1990s. He then turned briefly to 3D drawing and animation but returned to comic book terror stories with Various Horror Visions to the delight of his fans.

The collection published by Diàbolo Editions focuses on the horror that surrounds us every day, a horror that is often imperceptible, invisible but lurks everywhere and unfortunately sometimes even in one's own family.
Unlike the classic figure of the zombie hungry for brains and human flesh, the protagonists of Santipérez's stories are the living dead who sleep, wash, go to work, and lead normal lives just like the living... in fact, the author depicts an ironic and merciless image of contemporary society, a shocking metaphor for the current economic and social crisis.

This splendid comic book, designed for lovers of classic horror, was produced in color for Diàbolo Edizioni and is accompanied by previously unpublished material by Santipérez, who embellishes his stories with drawings that let his great artistry shine through.

The collection Horror Visions - Stories of Everyday Terror is available from October 2013 in bookstores or on the web for 14.95 euros.
