Unwelcome: poster and trailer for creature feature about the goblins of Irish folklore

Presented as a cross between Gremlins and Straw Dogs (Straw dogs), Unwelcome (UK - 2023) is a creature feature on the Redcaps (Red Berets or Fir Larrig), the goblins of Irish folklore.
The film is written and directed by Jon Wright (Tormented, Grabbers - Final Hangover, Robot Overlords) and will be released in U.S. theaters on March 10, 2023 by Well Go USA Entertainment.

According to folk tradition, these swift bucktoothed creatures attack with heavy iron scythes and kill those who come to live in their homes and then dip their hats in the victims' blood. Red Caps are obliged to kill regularly, as they die if the blood with which their hat is soiled dries up.

Plot: Maya and Jamie leave London to take refuge in the tranquility of an Irish village. In the woods surrounding their home, however, live evil goblins who, according to tradition, must be fed in order to live peacefully. Despite the advice of her new neighbors, Maya forgets to feed the creatures, thus incurring their wrath and the hatred of the locals.

In the cast of Unwelcome there are Hannah John-Kamen (Red Sonja), Douglas Booth (Pride and Prejudice and Zombies), Colm Meaney, Kristian Nairn, Chris Walley, Niamh Cusack, Rick Warden, Ania Marson, and Paul Warren.
Mark Stay is also involved in the script of the film.
