In addition to the Korean zombie movie Train to Busan, Midnight Factory offers for home video the Iranian horror film Under the shadow - The devil in the shadow (aka Under the Shadow, Under the shadow). Written and directed by Babak Anvari, the film will be available from the Oct. 26, 2017 in a limited edition DVD and Blu-ray, both accompanied by an exclusive booklet.
Winner of a 2017 Bafta and triumphant at genre festivals around the world, Under the shadow - The devil in the shadow (Iran - 2016) is a striking supernatural horror film set in 1988 Tehran, during the post-revolutionary conflicts at the beginning of the Iran-Iraq war.
Plot: Shideh (Narges Rashidi) is a Muslim mother who lives together with her daughter Dorsa (Avin Manshadi). One day, a rocket hits the very building where the two live but fortunately remains unexploded. The missile, however, opened a large crack in the ceiling of their apartment, and from that moment, strange events begin to occur that will disrupt Shideh's life. In fact, an evil entity will try to possess her daughter.
