Universal Pictures ha appena condiviso il terzo trailer ufficiale di Last night in Soho (UK, USA – 2021), il thriller/horror psicologico che esordirà nei cinema italiani il 4 novembre.
Directed by Edgar Wright (Dawn of the Demented Dead, Hot Fuzz), Last night in Soho has been presented by the director himself as a "cinematic work that mixes multiple genres," a "psychological thriller with horror overtones and with an influence from 1960s and 1970s cinema."
Il film vede protagoniste Anya Taylor-Joy (The VVitch, Glass) e Thomasin McKenzie (Lo Hobbit – La battaglia delle cinque armate).
In Last night in Soho, Thomasin McKenziea è Eloise, una ragazza appassionata di moda e grandissima fan di Sandy (Anya Taylor-Joy), una cantante di successo degli anni ’60. La giovane avrebbe voluto incontrare il suo idolo ma, non essendo nata in quegli anni, il suo sogno è impossibile. Tuttavia Eloise riesce, in qualche modo misterioso, a incontrare l’amata star, rivivendo quel lontano decennio musicale.
Purtroppo la Londra degli anni ’60 non è un ambiente tranquillo come ha sempre immaginato e la ragazza lo capirà a sue spese, quando il suo viaggio nel tempo inizierà ad avere terribili conseguenze.
Nel cast figurano, oltre alle due sopracitate attrici, anche Terrance Stamp (Superman), Matt Smith (Patient Zero), Diana Rigg, Terence Stamp, Rita Tushingham, James Phelps, Michael Jibson, Andrew Bicknell e Jessie Mei Li.
Instead, the screenplay is by Edgar Wright and Krysty Wilson-Cairns (Penny Dreadful).
