Last night in Soho has been presented by the director himself as a "cinematic work that mixes multiple genres," a "psychological thriller with horror overtones and with an influence from 1960s and 1970s cinema."
Plot: In 2019, sensitive young country girl Eloise (Thomasin McKenzie) arrives in London to pursue her passion for fashion design, an experience that will disappoint her. In 1965, on the other hand, singer Sandy (Taylor-Joy) discovers that the gold-paved streets of the big city have deep cracks into which people could sink and then disappear forever.
Nel cast figurano anche Terrance Stamp (Superman), Matt Smith (Patient Zero), Diana Rigg, Terence Stamp, Rita Tushingham, James Phelps, Michael Jibson, Andrew Bicknell e Jessie Mei Li.
Last night in Soho è stato presentato alla 78ª Mostra internazionale d’arte cinematografica di Venezia il 4 settembre 2021.
