After the recent horror comedy Killroy Was Here, Kevin Smith (Red State) will return to body horror to direct the sequel to Tusk (2014), a project the director has already thought about in 2020.
Revealing this during an interview with SlashFilm was actor Justin Long (Drag Me to Hell, After.Life), the protagonist of the first chapter, who explained that he was contacted by the director: "Kevin sent us a message the other day, he also wrote to Haley (Joel Osment) and Genesis (Rodriguez), and he told us that he wanted to do it. I thought he was joking but then I realized he was serious.“.
Recall that in Tusk, Justin Long played Wallace Bryton, the author of a popular podcast aimed at collecting strange stories from bizarre characters. This prompts him to travel to Canada to interview Howard Howe, a mysterious loner with a special passion for walruses.
The stay with the stranger, however, will soon turn into a terrible and disturbing nightmare....
Tusk had its world premiere on September 6, 2014 at the Toronto International Film Festival (Midnight Madness section) while in Italy it had its national premiere at the ninth edition of the Rome International Film Festival on October 19, 2014.
