Austrian label Black Lava Entertainment has released the new trailer, poster and several stills of Triptychon of Fear, a horror anthology consisting of three extreme short films (totaling 91 minutes in length) made by El Gore and Cedric Endress. Triptychon of Fear will be available in DVD (region free) limited edition (only 500 pieces) starting July 13, 2018. The edition contains an hour of extra content: making of, featurette, outtakes, behind-the-scenes, the unreleased short film "Salvation" by El Gore, the trailer and a photo gallery.
This new production from Grindhouse Films (Ghouls Night Outtrilogy, Isolation, Snuff Tape anthology) is composed as follows: Episode I ("Would You Go to Hell for Me?"); Episode II ("I Fear") and Episode III ("The yellow-colored mirror of the soul"). The first and third segments are directed by El Gore (El Gore's Snuff Tape Anthology) while the direction of the second is by Cedric Endress.
Below is the plot of the three shorts:
- Episode I: financial problems drive a drug-addicted couple to commit a major crime. Their escape from the scene of the crime will coincide with the beginning of a nightmare.
- Episode II: a man finds himself trapped in an old attic, a prisoner of a mysterious force. As he tries to find his way out, he will be tormented by ghostly apparitions that cause him to lose his clarity.
- Episode III: Chased by a mysterious stranger, a young woman takes refuge at home thinking she is safe. Here she will wonder whether the person who followed her from the park is a figment of her imagination or not. For her, however, the real horror will manifest itself during the night.
In the cast of Triptychon of Fear there are Isabelle Fitzgerald, Christian Fryska, El Excremento, Claudio De Giacomo, Cedric Endress and El Gore.
The film's soundtrack is by Musica Non Grata and Cortello Stigma.
