Directed by Don Michael Paul (Lake Placid: The Final Chapter, Tremors 5: Bloodlines), the seventh installment of the saga Tremors will arrive on VOD platforms in October with the title Tremors: Shrieker Island. The film received a PG-13 censorship visa (not recommended for unaccompanied minors under 13) for "violence, inappropriate language, sex and drug references."
There is currently no word on a possible Italian distribution.
In Tremors: Shrieker Island, Michael Gross is again the paramilitary Burt Gummer, a historical character in the franchise Tremors. In fact, the actor has appeared in all chapters of the saga, including the first chapter in 1990 and the TV series based on Tremors.
Also in the cast are Jon Heder, Jackie Cruz and Richard Brake (31), Caroline Langrishe, Cassie Clare, Sahajak Boonthanakit, Randy Kalsi, David Assavanon, Matthew Douglas, Boonma Lamphon, and Iris Park.
Don Michael Paul co-wrote the screenplay for the film with Brian Brightly.
In Tremors 7, the Graboids are back. The giant underground creatures have been illegally brought to a new island location by a wealthy playboy for a trophy hunt and are now ready to claim new victims. It will be up to Burt Gummer (Michael Gross) to stop the monstrous beings before it is too late.
