These days Joblo has revealed that the remake of the horror slasher Tourist Trap (aka Horror Puppet) is in development, nearly 45 years after the original film directed in 1979 by David Schmoeller.
The remake will be produced by horror icon Barbara Crampton (Re-Animator, Supermarket Horror, From Beyond - Terror from the Unknown), and no further details about the project are currently available.
Produced by Charles Band, the founder of Full Moon Pictures, Tourist Trap (1979) stars Chuck Connors as Mr. Slausen, a psychopath with telekinetic powers who lures a group of young people into his ramshackle roadside attraction, unleashing an army of psychically controlled dummies on them.
Also in the cast of David Schmoeller's cult film are Jocelyn Jones (The Enforcer), Tanya Roberts (Charlie's Angels), Jon Van Ness and Robin Sherwood (Death Wish II) while the soundtrack is by noted Italian composer Pino Donaggio (Carrie - The Look of Satan, The Howling).
