These days Joblo has revealed that the remake of the horror slasher Tourist Trap (aka Horror Puppet) is in development, nearly 45 years after the original film directed in 1979 by David Schmoeller.
Il rifacimento sarà prodotto dall'icona horror Barbara Crampton (Re-Animator, Supermarket Horror, From Beyond – Terrore dall’ignoto) e al momento non si hanno ulteriori dettagli sul progetto.
Produced by Charles Band, the founder of Full Moon Pictures, Tourist Trap (1979) stars Chuck Connors as Mr. Slausen, a psychopath with telekinetic powers who lures a group of young people into his ramshackle roadside attraction, unleashing an army of psychically controlled dummies on them.
Nel cast del film cult di David Schmoeller ci sono anche Jocelyn Jones (The Enforcer), Tanya Roberts (Charlie's Angels), Jon Van Ness e Robin Sherwood (Death Wish II) mentre la colonna sonora è del noto compositore italiano Pino Donaggio (Carrie - Lo sguardo di Satana, L'ululato).
