The very Italian Torment (Italy - 2016), the extreme horror film by Adam Ford (The Flesh Museum), is the winning film at the Nightmares Film Festival 2017, Ohio. Torment had its world premiere today, October 22, 2017, winning among other things the most prestigious award up for grabs namely "THE FILM FROM HELL - BEST OF THE FESTIVAL."
To mark the occasion, we present an exclusive clip from the film (below).
Written by Likov Mitoloskih, Torment sheds light on the darker, crueler and sicker side of John Wayne Gacy (1942 - 1994), the serial killer known as "Pogo the Clown." The man was accused of raping, torturing, and killing dozens of victims, all male.
Specifically, Torment traces the despicable actions performed by Gacy in his sexual sphere. Giving the face of the piscopath is Matteo De Liberato, here in a chilling and difficult role.
The cast includes, in addition to Matteo De Liberato, Rikky Fiore, Marco Pielich and Manuel Favaretto. The soundtrack is by Mauro Crivelli.
Recognized as one of the most extreme films in the horror genre, Torment (movie review) is part of the "Death Trilogy," an Italian extreme saga produced by Domiziano Cristopharo (Bloody Sin, Red Krokodil). The first chapter of the franchise is American Guinea Pig: Sacrifice (link to review) from Poison Rouge while the third is Xpiation directed by Domitian Cristopharo.
