Il film è interpretato dal Premio Oscar Octavia Spencer (qui nel ruolo di una psicopatica) ed è stato distribuito nelle sale italiane da Universal Pictures lo scorso 27 giugno.
Plot: Lonely Sue Ann (Octavia Spencer) lives in a quiet Ohio town. One day she meets Maggie (Diana Silvers), a girl who asks her to buy alcohol for her and her friends. Sue Ann obliges her, confident that she will win the young girl's trust and that of her peers.
Pretending to be friendly and sociable, the woman invites them home by putting her basement at their disposal on the condition that they call her "Ma" and abide by certain rules. Gradually, however, the stranger will let her true intentions shine through, plunging the entire group of friends into a terrible nightmare.
In addition to Octavia Spencer (Pulse, Drag Me to Hell, Halloween II - 2009), in the cast of But there are also Luke Evans (Dracula Untold), Juliette Lewis (Natural Born Killers, From Dusk to Dawn), Diana Silvers, Missi Pyle, Dominic Burgess, Allison Janney, McKaley Miller, Corey Fogelmanis, and Victor Turpin.
