Thelma is the title of the Norwegian supernatural horror film directed by Joachim Trier who co-wrote the screenplay with Eskil Vogt. These hours The Orchard released the official trailer for the film whose story sheds light on the life of Thelma, a girl with extraordinary powers.
Thelma (Eili Harboe) is attending her first year of university in Oslo. Shy and reserved, she befriends Anja (Okay Kaya), another student. Thelma begins to feel a strong sexual attraction for her, but this terrifies her and she tries to fight against her feelings that conflict with her religious upbringing. The tension that ravages her, however, causes her to lose control, triggering terrifying events. Erotic dreams and convulsions cause her to manifest her powers to which she will later try to give a medical explanation. Thelma, however, will come up against a very bitter and disturbing truth concerning her family.
