Teodora Film has released the Italian poster and trailer for. Thelma, the Norwegian supernatural thriller-horror directed by Joachim Trier (Family Secrets). The director himself wrote the screenplay together with Eskil Vogt. Thelma has been included in the cinema programming this month and in fact the Italian release date has been set for June 21.
Thelma tells the story of a girl with extraordinary powers.
Plot: Thelma (Eili Harboe) attends her first year of university in Oslo. Shy and reserved, the young woman befriends Anja (Okay Kaya), a student with whom she becomes enamored. Thelma is afraid of the feelings and strong sexual attraction she feels for the girl, which contrasts with her religious upbringing. The tension that ravages her, however, causes her to lose control, triggering terrifying events. Erotic dreams and convulsions cause her to discover and manifest her powers to which she will later try to give a medical explanation. Thelma, however, will come up against a very bitter and disturbing truth that is rooted in her family's secrets.
