The Yellow Wallpaper: clips from the gothic horror film about madness

Online a first clip of The Yellow Wallpaper, the feminist gothic horror film directed by Kevin Pontuti, here directing his first feature film.
Presented as an original, chilling journey into madness, The Yellow Wallpaper is the film adaptation of the short story of the same name written by Charlotte Perkins Gilman in 1892. The literary work itself was praised by H. P. Lovecraft in his 1927 essay "Supernatural Horror in Literature."
The film stars Alexandra Loreth, who also appears on the film crew as a screenwriter alongside Kevin Pontuti.

Plot: Jane (Alexandra Loreth) is a writer and a young mother who is prescribed rest therapy by her physician husband John. Therefore, during the summer season, the man moves with his wife to a remote country estate. Here, however, the woman will become obsessed with the yellow wallpaper (chosen by her husband himself) covering the walls of the bedroom.
While in solitary confinement, Jane will secretly write about a woman trapped in wallpaper and whom she will try to free.

In the cast of The Yellow Wallpaper Joe Mullins, Clara Hart, Mark P. O'Connor, and Jeanne O'Connor also appear.
The film will have its world premiere on March 20 at the Cinequest Film Festival.
