The official trailer for The Winedancers, a horror comedy with dark overtones, written and directed by Gary Meyer, a director who made an appearance in Stanley Kubrick's Full Metal Jacket in 1987.
Currently in post-production and awaiting release, The Winedancers marks Meyer's directorial debut.
Produced by Godam Film, The Winedancers is about a group of people who meet by chance at the "Chateau de Bizzu" located in the south of France, an ideal location for tasting fine wines but also for making new acquaintances. Unfortunately for them, the mysterious owners of the chateau are not at all reassuring, and what is more, shortly after their arrival, strange incidents will begin to occur followed by pagan rituals. A series of murders will stain the weekend of the unfortunate patrons of the macabre place with blood.
The Winedancers presents itself as a film full of suspense and twists and turns that feature bloody sequences on heinousness and murder. A film that once again brings Greek mythology and especially the figures of Pan and Bacchus, who seem to be particularly bloodthirsty here, back into genre cinema.
The cast includes Lucinda Rhodes (Death Walks, No Reasons, Death Do Us Apart) and Kim Sønderholm, the latter also featured in the cast of the upcoming Escaping the Dead and The Killing Games. The two actors are joined by Kasia Koleczek (May I Kill U?), Miglen Mirtchev, Mariana Peñalva, Edmund Digby-Jones, Kyle Calderwood, J.C. Montes-Roldan, Andrea Catozzi, Antoine Martin, Jonathan Christopher Duncan, Callie Roberts, and Marina De Salis.
