CBS Films and Lionsgate have revealed a new trailer for the Widow Winchester (aka Winchester: The House That Ghosts Built), the supernatural horror about the "Winchester House" (built in 1884 in San Jose, California), the most haunted house in the world.
Directed by brothers Michael and Peter Spierig (Undead, Daybreakers - The Last Vampire, Predestination) Widow Winchester (USA, Australia - 2018) will debut in U.S. theaters on February 2, 2018 while it will arrive in Italian theaters on February 14.
The design is inspired by the construction of the imposing building, located in San Jose, which was commissioned by Sarah Winchester and built over the course of 38 years.
The protagonist of the story is the widow Sarah (Helen Mirren), the heiress of the well-known arms factory. Convinced that she is haunted by the souls of all those who lost their lives to the weapons built by her family, she has a medium build a mansion in order to trap hundreds of spirits there. Psychiatrist Eric Price (Jason Clarke) will get to see that the old woman is not as crazy as one might think.
In the cast of this ghost movie: Helen Mirren, Jason Clarke (Apes Revolution - Planet of the Apes), Sarah Snook, Angus Sampson, Laura Brent, Tyler Coppin, Jeffrey W. Jenkins, Dawayne Jordan, Thor Carlsson and Xavier Gouault.
The screenplay is by Tom Vaughan and the Spierig brothers.
