The Void (Canada - 2016), the Canadian horror film that has captivated fans of old-style horror cinema, will be distributed in Italy thanks to 102 Distribution. In fact, the film will debut in Italian theaters under the title The Void - The Void September 2017.
Written and directed by Jeremy Gillespie (Inferno of the Dead, Father's Day) and Steven Kostanski ("W is for Wish" segment in ABCs of Death 2), The Void enjoys juicy special effects and evocative Lovecraftian and Carpenterian atmospheres.
Plot: Police officer Daniel Carter (Aaron Poole) accompanies a bloodstained stranger to the hospital. Once inside the hospital facility, however, Daniel will be confronted with a gruesome sight: nearly all the patients and staff are mutating. Carter will try to get to safety along with the few survivors by delving into the bowels of the hospital where he will face a perilous hellish journey in search of salvation.
The Void è stato presentato in anteprima mondiale al Fantastic Fest e ha preso parte a numerosi festival tra cui il London Film Festival, lo Stockholm International Film Festival, il Toronto After Dark Film Festival e l'Abertoir Horror Festival.
The film debuted in U.S. theaters last April 7 (for Screen Media Films) to huge success.
