The Vigil: trailer and Italian release date for horror film about the keeper of the dead in Jewish tradition

BiM Distribuzione has released the official Italian trailer for. The Vigil (USA - 2019), the horror film about the Shomer, a term in Jewish culture for a janitor, the one who watches over the deceased until burial to protect them from evil spirits.
Written and directed by Keith Thomas, here in his first feature film, The Vigil is a "religious" horror film about demonic possession and will debut in Italian theaters on September 10, 2020 with the title The Vigil: it won't let you go.

Plot: The frail Yakov (Dave Davis), a former Hassid, is hired by Rabbi Reb Shulem (Menashe Lustig) as a shomer to watch over the body of Litvak, a Holocaust survivor and a member of the religious community recently abandoned by the boy himself. Reluctantly accepting the job, Yakov reaches the dilapidated house of the deceased but, once at the site, the young shomer will find that it will not be the usual wake.

In the cast of The Vigil: Dave Davis, Adam Margules, Menashe Lustig, Malky Goldman, Lynn Cohen and Fred Melamed.
JD Lifshitz and Raphael Margules of Boulderlight and Adam Margules of Angry Adam Productions appear in the film's production.
