New poster and new U.S. theatrical release date of The Vatican Tapes (2015 - USA) which slips from May 22 to July 24 next year. The Vatican Tapes is a horror genre film that will add to the already large strand on demonic possession that has been quite prolific in recent years, albeit in most cases with fairly poor titles.
Directed by The Vatican Tapes there is Mark Neveldine, the director of Crank, Gamer and Ghost Rider - Spirit of Vengeance, while Chris Morgan and Christopher Borrelli handled the screenplay.
The cast includes Olivia Dudley, Kathleen Robertson, Dougray Scott, John Patrick Amedori, Tehmina Sunny, Michael Paré, Michael Peña, and Daniel Bernhardt.
The Vatican is in possession of secret tapes revealing the presence of Evil with attached cases of demonic possession. Among the possessed is Angela Holmes (Olivia Dudley), a young woman who helplessly witnesses the sudden change in her behavior. The girl ends up posing a danger not only to herself but also to the people around her. The exorcists suspect it is a case of possession, but the Vatican will be stunned when the demon possessing the victim turns out to be an ancient, uncontrollable satanic force, dangerous to all mankind.
