Dopo il primo trailer diffuso da Sony Pictures, arriva online il nuovo poster dell'horror The Unholy (formerly titled Shrine), the film adaptation of the novel of the same name written in 1983 by James Herbert.
Produced by Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert (Ghost House Pictures) in collaboration with Screen Gems, The Unholy features Evan Spiliotopoulos (Beauty and the Beast) in the directing booth, who also handled the screenplay.
The film will debut in U.S. theaters on April 2 with Sony Pictures.
The Unholy stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan (The Walking Dead), here as a journalist investigating a young woman who can perform miracles.
Plot: Alice (Cricket Brown) è una ragazza con problemi di udito che, dopo una presunta visita della Vergine Maria, è inspiegabilmente in grado di ascoltare, parlare e curare i malati. Mentre la voce si diffonde e le persone accorrono per assistere ai suoi miracoli, Gerry Fenn (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), un giornalista caduto in disgrazia, raggiunge la piccola città del New England per indagare sul caso, sperando di rilanciare la sua carriera. Quando eventi terrificanti iniziano ad accadere intorno alla miracolata, il giornalista si chiederà se questi fenomeni abbiano o meno un'origina divina.
