Leone Film Group has released the official Italian trailer for. The Turning (2020), the ghost movie that will debut in Italian theaters on October 29, 2020 (distributed by o1 Distribution) under the title The Turning: House of Evil.
Directed by Floria Sigismondi (The Runaways), the film is the new film adaptation of "The crackdown” ("The Turn of the Screw"), il celebre romanzo breve di genere horror-gotico scritto da Henry James e a cui sono ispirati anche altri film come The Innocents (1961), Suddenly, a man in the night (1972) e The Others (2001).
La storia si svolge negli anni '90 e vede protagonista una giovane istitutrice che viene assunta da un ricco uomo d’affari affinché si prenda cura degli orfani Flora e Miles, i suoi nipoti. La ragazza però è convinta che la casa di campagna in cui vivono sia infestata e che i due ragazzini siano a conoscenza di terribili segreti.
The Turning: House of Evil stars Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things), Brooklynn Prince and Mackenzie Davis (Blade Runner 2049). Also in the cast are Mark Huberman, Barbara Marten, Niall Greig Fulton, Kim Adis, Denna Thomsen, and Karen Egan.
The script is by Carey W. Hayes and Chad Hayes, the screenwriters of the The Conjuring - The Conjuring and Crucifixion - Evil has been invoked.
