L'attore/regista Macon Blair si occuperà della sceneggiatura e della regia del remake di The Toxic Avenger (USA - 1984), the iconic Troma cult film directed by Michael Herz and Lloyd Kaufman, creators of the original franchise as well as founders of the well-known U.S. independent film production and distribution company. Both appear in the Legendary Pictures-branded project as producers.
In addition to directing, Macon Blair will also write the script for the remake. Blair has starred in such films as. Murder Party (2007) and Green Room (2015) and then made his directorial debut in 2017 with I Don't Feel at Home in This World Anymore.
In the production of the new The Toxic Avenger Alex Garcia and Jay Ashenfelter of Legendary Pictures also appear.
Plot of The Toxic Avenger (1984): nell’immaginaria città di Tromaville vive Melvin Ferd, un ragazzo timido e imbranato che lavora nella palestra Tromaville Health Club.
