In an interview with DreadCentral, Lloyd Kaufman praised the script of the reboot of The Toxic Avenger - The Toxic Avenger calling it “better than the original.” The reboot of the film was announced two years ago and features actor/director Macon Blair (I Don't Feel at Home in This World Anymore) in the director's booth, who also handled the screenplay.
Recently, American actor Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones) joined the cast.

The Toxic Avenger (USA - 1984), the iconic Troma cult film, is directed by Michael Herz and Lloyd Kaufman, creators of the original franchise as well as founders of the well-known U.S. independent film production and distribution company. Both appear in this new Legendary Pictures project as producers.

Plot of The Toxic Avenger (1984): In the fictional town of Tromaville lives Melvin Ferd, a shy and awkward boy who works at the Tromaville Health Club gym. The young man is constantly bullied by the young men who frequent it, and during one of their heavy pranks, Melvin falls into a toxic waste container. The accident does not cause his death but turns him into a monstrous mutant superhero.
