takingIt is entitled The Taking of Deborah Logan (USA – 2014) A found footage horror film that marks Adam Robitel's directorial debut.
Adam Robitel is well known for his acting career, which also saw him cast (in the role of Lester) in 2001 Maniacs and 2001 Maniacs: Field of Screams by Tim Sullivan. The director himself wrote the screenplay for his film together with Gavin Heffernan.

Protagonist of the story of The Taking of Deborah Logan It is Mia Medina (Michelle Ang), a young woman who is preparing a thesis on Alzheimer's disease. She finds the perfect subject to complete her study on the disease. It is Deborah Logan (Jill Larson), a woman who has been diagnosed with this debilitating disease and who lives with her daughter Sarah (Anne Ramsay). For several months, Mia records the elderly woman's daily life with her video camera, but as time goes by, the girl notices that Deborah is beginning to show new symptoms that are completely unrelated to Alzheimer's disease.

taking-posterThe US release date of The Taking of Deborah Logan is scheduled for release this fall thanks to Millennium. The film will be available for video on demand on October 21, while the DVD format will be released on November 4.

Bryan Singer (Trick'r Treat) and Jeff Rice were responsible for producing the film, while the cast includes Jill Larson, Michelle Ang, Anne Ramsay, Anne Bedian, Ryan Cutrona, Jeremy DeCarlos, and Julianne Taylor.
