Online the Italian trailer and poster for The Strangers: Chapter 1 , the first chapter of the standalone sequel trilogy to The Strangers, a saga created by Bryan Bertino and consisting of The Strangers (2008) and The Strangers: Prey at Night (2018).
Directing this new Lionsgate-branded franchise is Finland's Renny Harlin, the director of A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master, Exorcist: The Beginning and The Covenant.
As revealed by the trailer, the Italian release date is set for July 10, 2024.
Inspired by The Strangers 2008, The Strangers: Chapter 1 is played by Madelaine Petsch, here as Maya, a girl driving across the country with her boyfriend. Along the way, a car breakdown forces them to reach an isolated cottage where, throughout the night, they will be terrorized by three dangerous masked strangers.
In the cast of The Strangers: Chapter 1 also feature Froy Gutierrez, Rachel Shenton, Ema Horvath and Gabe Basso, while the screenplay is by Alan R. Cohen and Alan Freedland.
