Among the first names in the cast of The Strangers 2, c'è quello di Christina Hendricks, vista recentemente in Neon Demon (2016) by Nicolas Winding Refn. In addition to the aforementioned actress, Bailee Madison (Don't Be Afraid of the Dark) and Lewis Pullman are also confirmed.
The Strangers 2 è il sequel dell'home invasion The Strangers (2008) di Bryan Bertino. Alla regia del seguito invece, le cui riprese inizieranno il 30 maggio a Los Angeles, c'è Johannes Roberts, regista che ha alle spalle diversi film horror fra cui citiamo Storage 24, The Other Side of the Door and 47 Meters (quest'ultimo nelle sale italiane a partire dal 25 maggio). Plot of The Strangers 2: raggiunta un'area di ristoro isolata, una famiglia decide di passare la notte in una roulotte presa in prestito. Di notte però tre psicopatici mascherati entreranno in azione terrorizzando e mettendo in difficoltà le loro prede.
