The Stranger (2014 - Chile) marks the directorial debut of Guillermo Amoedo, the co-writer of Eli Roth in The Green Inferno and Knock Knock. IFC Midnigh recently released the official trailer for The Stranger, which by the way is produced by Eli Roth himself together with Nicolás López. Guillermo Amoedo also handled the film's subject and screenplay. The cast, on the other hand, consists of Aaron Burns, Lorenza Izzo, Ariel Levy, and Cristobal Tapia Montt.
Martin returns to his town after an absence of sixteen years, driven by the need to eradicate a dangerous virus that is transmitted through blood. Arriving on the scene, the man is attacked by a group of violent men but fortunately his nearly lifeless body is picked up by young Caleb and cared for by a nurse. The presence of the mysterious stranger unfortunately seems to have triggered a series of nefarious events.
The release date for the film is set for June 12 for video on demand.
