The Silence: the horror film about giant bats

thesilenceStanley Tucci (Lovable Remains) joins the cast of The Silence, the fantasy horror film directed by John R. Leonetti, the director of The Butterfly Effect 2 and Annabelle as well as director of photography on several horror films including Insidious, Piranha 3D, The Conjuring and Beyond the Twilight Zone - Insidious 2.
The film, whose story sees humanity threatened by giant bats, is the film adaptation of the novel of the same name by Tim Lebbon, former author of the literary work 30 Days of Night.

Plot: Ally is a teenager who suffers from deafness. The young girl lives with her family in New Jersey, a place where a colony of bats is attacked by a parasitic insect that turns them into a deadly species. As the bats increase in volume, Ally's senses sharpen, allowing her to sense the dangerous creatures in the distance. She and her family take refuge in the woods, but even here they will not be safe.

Also confirmed in the cast, in addition to Stanley Tucci, is Kiernan Shipka (Carriers).
The script for the film is by the Carey brothers and ShaneVan Dyke, the screenwriters of Chernobyl Diaries. Robert Kulzer (Resident Evil), Alexandra Milchan, Scott Lambert and Martin Moszkowicz are producing the film.
