According to Deadline's revelation, Sandrine Holt (Underworld: The Awakening, Fear the Walking Dead) has joined the cast of The Shrouds, the new horror film by renowned Canadian director David Cronenberg (Rabid, Brood, Scanners, The Fly, Crimes of the Future).
The Canadian actress and model will join the already confirmed Vincent Cassel (Dobermann, Hate), Diane Kruger (Inglourious Basterds) and Guy Pearce (Memento).
The filming phase of The Shrouds will be launched next May in Toronto.

In The Shrouds, Vincent Cassel is Karsh, a brilliant businessman mourning the loss of his wife and building an innovative device that can connect with the dead inside a burial shroud. Installed in his state-of-the-art cemetery, this burial tool allows him and his clients to observe the stages of his loved one's decomposition in real time.
Karsh's revolutionary invention is on the verge of great success when, in his cemetery, some vandals destroy several graves, including that of his wife. As he tries to discover the reason for this act, the investigation will lead him to reevaluate his life and his affections, as well as push him toward new beginnings.

Sandrine Holt instead plays a mysterious woman who contacts Karsh about a strange project involving her husband.
