For the month of June, among the releases Universal Pictures Home Italy there is the masterpiece The shark, a film directed in 1975 by Steven Spielberg (Duel, Close Encounters of the Third Kind). To mark the 45th anniversary, Universal will release an unmissable Limited Edition on June 24. 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray.
Written by Peter Benchley and Carl Gottlieb, The shark (Jaws) is based on the novel of the same name by Peter Benchley.
Plot: Amity Island thrives on beach tourism. One night, during a beach party, a girl decides to take a midnight swim but is mauled by a shark. Sheriff Martin Brody (Roy Scheider) plans to close the beaches but Mayor Larry Vaughn (Murray Hamilton) opposes so as not to ruin the summer tourist season. When the shark reaps more victims, Brody and elderly shark hunter Quint hunt it down.
