Universal Pictures has released the second official Italian trailer for. The Ring 3 (Rings), the new installment in the celebrated horror franchise that will be released in Italian theaters on Feb. 2, one day ahead of the American date.
The Ring 3 is directed by F. Javier Gutiérrez (Tres dÃas) while the screenplay was written by Jacob Aaron Estes, Akiva Goldsman and David Loucka. The new chapter in the saga will investigate the origins of the evil videotape and thus Samara.
Plot: Driven by curiosity, Holt (Alex Roe) views the videotape about Samara, the dangerous VHS tape said to kill, after seven days, anyone who has seen it. Concerned about the fate of her boyfriend, Julia (Matilda Lutz) is ready to sacrifice her own life to save her beloved's but will make a terrifying discovery: the presence of a "movie within a movie" that no one, until then, knew about.
The cast includes Matilda Lutz, Alex Roe, Johnny Galecki, Aimee Teegarden, Laura Wiggins, Zach Roerig, Andrea Powell, Brandon Larracuente, Jill Jane Clements, Dave Blamy, Surely Alvelo, Patrick R. Walker, and Adam Fristoe.
The Ring 3 is the third installment in the franchise The Ring started in 2002 with the film of the same name directed by Gore Verbinski and followed by Hideo Nakata's sequel in 2005. Recall that the latter is also the director of Ringu (1998) e Ringu 2 (1999).
