In a recent interview with IndieWire, Ed Pressman, the historic producer of the legendary cursed film The Raven (1994), revealed that he has not given up on the reboot and will soon announce the names of the director and cast who will be part of the new project.
No other details are currently known.
Recall that, for about a decade, there has been nothing but talk about the new The Crow and, after years of stalling, searching for a director and lead actor, the film's production has been put on hold several times.
Directors who were announced and later dropped out of the project include: Stephen Norrington (Blade), Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 Weeks Later), F. Javier Gutiérrez (Tres días), and Corin Hardy (The Hallow). In 2018, actor Jason Momoa (Aquaman) was to play Eric Draven in Corin Hardy's own film.
Played by Brandon Lee, The Raven by Alex Proyas is based on the comic book of the same name by James O'Barr and tells the story of Eric Draven, a musician who returns to the world of the living to avenge his own death and that of his fiancée.
