Black Fawn Distribution has announced the release of The Ranger, l'horror che sarà distribuito in Canada il 22 gennaio 2019. Presentato come uno "slasher punk/rock", The Ranger (USA - 2018) è diretto da Jenn Wexler e sarà disponibile in DVD e Blu-ray a partire dal 22 gennaio con Black Fawn Distribution.
The story of the film features Chelsea and her punk friends who, in order to escape the police, find refuge in an old cabin in the woods. Their presence, however, will trigger the fury of the park ranger (Jeremy Holm), an axe-wielding psychopath who is privy to some secrets about Chelsea's family.
In the cast of The Ranger: Chloë Levine (The Transfiguration, The Defenders), Jeremy Holm (House of Cards, Mr. Robot), Granit Lahu (The Sinner), Jeremy Pope, Bubba Weiler (Puzzle), Amanda Grace Benitez (School of Rock), Jeté Laurence (Pet Sematary) e l'icona horror Larry Fessenden (Habit, We Are Still Here, The House of the Devil).
The screenplay is by Jenn Wexler and Giaco Furino while the soundtrack is by Wade MacNeil (Alexisonfire eGallows) and Andrew Gordon Macpherson.
World premiered at the SXSW Film Festival, The Ranger is a co-production of Glass Eye Pix and Hood River Entertainment. The film is produced by Andrew van den Houten (Breaking & Exiting, The Woman), Larry Fessenden (Most Beautiful Island, The House of the Devil), Ashleigh Snead (The Block Island Sound), Heather Buckley and Jenn Wexler (Like Me, Darling).
