The Purging Hour (formerly titled Home Video) is a found-footage supernatural horror film in the vein of Paranormal Activity. The film is directed by Emmanuel Giorgio Sandoval, an American filmmaker who is trying his hand at horror genre cinema for the first time after making his directorial debut with a comedy film in 2012. Of The Purging Hour official trailer and a poster have been released on the occasion of its current DVD release.
Plot: Bruce Diaz (Steve Jacques) leaves town and moves with his family to a mountainous area of California. Once settled in their new home, the Diaz family is the victim of an atrocious fate, and due to the absence of evidence, the case is dropped. Many years later, an anonymous source publishes personal footage shot by the Diazes.
Zaidal Obagi and Robert A. Trezza co-wrote the screenplay for the film with the director. The names of the actors who are part of the cast are: Steve Jacques, Alana Chester, Tomas Decurgez, Sherry Driggs, Sophia Louisa, Jim Marshall, David Mendoza, Cara O'Brien, Tom Mclaren, Dean Testerman, Paul Cross, and Art Roberts.
