Universal Pictures has recently announced the fourth installment of the saga. The Purge initiated in 2013 with The Purge (The Purge) and which were followed by Anarchy - Judgment Night (2014) and Judgment Night - Election Year (2016). The creator of the successful franchise, James DeMonaco, who wrote and directed the first three chapters, appears as producer. In addition to him, the production team also includes Jason Blum of Blumhouse Productions (Insidious saga, The Visit, Split), Michael Bay, Brad Fuller, and Andrew Form of Platinum Dunes (Ouija, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre), and Sébastien K. Lemercier.
