After the first images, the teaser trailer for the crime thriller/horror film also comes online. The Pale Blue Eye, the film adaptation of the gothic thriller novel of the same name written by Louis Bayard in 2006.
Written and directed by Scott Cooper (Antlers), this Netflix-branded film is a costume detective story featuring a young Edgar Allan Poe, here played by Harry Melling (Harry Potter, The Chess Queen).
Ad affiancarlo c'è l'attore premio oscar Christian Bale che invece dà il volto al detective in pensione Augustus Landor, incaricato di indagare su una serie di omicidi.
The Pale Blue Eye marks a new collaboration between director Scott Cooper and Christian Bale after The Fire of Vengeance (2013) and Hostiles - Hostiles (2017). The two also appear in the production of the project along with John Lesher and Tyler Thompson of Cross Creek.
The film will debut in U.S. theaters on Dec. 23 while it will arrive on Netflix on Jan. 6, 2023.
