Sarah Wayne Callies, the actress who played Lori Grimes in the TV series. The Walking Dead, is the protagonist of The Other Side of the Door, a horror genre film in whose story voodoo plays a prominent role. Indeed, Callies plays a mother wracked with grief over the loss of her son. The love of her daughter and husband is not enough to get her through the heavy grief and in fact she is determined to get in touch with the dead child through a voodoo ritual. The esoteric ritual, however, will open a gap between the world of the living and the dead, endangering the woman's life and that of her family.
The film, which will be released through Twentieth Century Fox on March 11, 2016, is directed by Johannes Roberts, a British director and screenwriter who has previously directed several horror films including Sanitarium, Hellbreeder, Darkhunters, Forest of the Damned, F, Roadkill and Storage 24.
