Last June we talked about The Orange Man, a sympathetic film whose crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter had just begun, then ended better than expected thus exceeding the set ceiling. The filming of The Orange Man began in August, and today you can watch the first trailer (at the bottom of the article) for this delirious slasher movie written and directed by Stephen Folker (The Mustache Movie).
The title of the film refers to a “fruity” villain, namely a killer who uses harmless oranges as a weapon to kill his victims. In fact, as can be seen from the trailer, the killer walks around armed with a bag of fresh oranges and a hook that will help him satiate his craving for blood.
Peter Walkins, an orange vendor, killed his first victim in 1987. Twenty-seven years later Gerald Johnson is in negotiations to purchase an orange grove. To clear his head before taking the plunge, the man decides to go fishing and convinces his friends Wilbur, Reggie and Jimmy to join him.
Arriving at the site, however, they will not be able to relax because the orange man will eliminate them one by one.
In the cast of The Orange Man: Ben Rollins (the “orange man” killer), Dave Juehring, Thomas Ely Sage, Glenn Harston, Jim Plovanich, Susan Wynne Lunning, Robert Kemp, and Trena Penson.
Director Stephen Folker is currently engaged in post-production of Field Freak, another horror comedy with high dementia, just to stay on the theme as in the director's previous works.
