There are only a few days left until the first edition of the The Optical Theatre Film Festival (here the June article), the international film festival spanning the horror, bizarre, fantasy and grotesque genres. The event, organized by director Domiziano Cristopharo and the heads of the Samain du Cinéma Fantastique, will be held on the days September 26, 27 and 28 at the Detour in Rome.
Below is the detailed program of the Festival:
Friday 26 opening night
- Special Guests: Frank Laloggia; Master of Ceremony: Serafino Iorli
- 7:30 p.m. - Welcome drink
- 8:30 p.m. - Preview of Suburban Gothic (2014, sub. ita) by Richard Bates (Excision)
- 10 p.m. - Teaser of Miro Miranda, the new film by F. Laloggia; Vintage Giveaway and Scarlatti / Lady in White by F. Laloggia (1988, sub ita)
Saturday, 27th
- Special Guests: Mickaël Abbate, Giovanni Lombardo Radice, Marco Werba; Master of Ceremony: Serafino Iorli
- 6:00 p.m. - Welcome drink
- 6:30 pm - Monkey Boy by A. Monti (Italy - 2009)
- 8:00 pm - The Defiled by J. Grant (USA - 2010, no language)
- 10 p.m. - Italian Premiere Director's Cut of. Inflicted by M. Harris (USA - 2012, sub ita)
